Vision
Start with the end in mind and consider what the finished website will look like in your mind's eye. Maybe make a note of websites that you like; note the layout, colours, use of pictures and space. -
Plan of action
Why not get some paper and draw a basic layout - a rough sketch of your vision. Make a note of colours etc. This will make your job easier. -
Write the text
Write the text before you start designing proper. Get someone to read it and double check it. Then you can just copy and paste. It also means that you have a separate copy that you can update as and when you need to. -
Pictures & Graphics
Choose your pictures and design graphics before you start. Make a note of which page you will use which graphic. -
Have fun
It's OK if you don't get it how you want it staright off. We have made it really easy for you to design your website, so relax and let your creativity take you to some fun places.
